Hi there and Happy New Year! I haven’t posted in a while because there hasn’t been much going on with Gus. We survived the holidays by balancing a frenetic social calender with a few days of doing absolutely nothing. I think we all appreciated those days, and it helped him to recharge so that he could manage himself during the ‘on’ days.
The cold has been very difficult for him. He’s always had a touch of SAD (seasonal affective disorder), but the brutal intensity of this latest cold snap has made him sluggish and grumpy at once. Yesterday, he even passed on going sledding, although he initially wanted to go.
Gus starts his bowling season this Friday, which he’s very excited about, and once that’s done it’ll be back to soccer. Otherwise, it’s just hunker down, play lots of Wii Winter Olympics and wait for the January thaw!
How are you and your special needs children coping with the extreme weather these days? Have a great day!

We’re getting through by getting out when we can. Trips to the mall, large pet-filled pet stores, friend’s houses.
Glad you have some things scheduled for him…it will help.
Happy New Year.
